We are inviting experienced contractors to prequalify for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Phases 2 and 3 of the Linha de Transporte de Energia Chimuara–Nacala (LTEC) project in Mozambique.
We are developing LTEC with Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), with support from IFC. The project will strengthen the grid across Zambezia and Nampula provinces, carrying power to northern Mozambique and the Nacala corridor.
Project scope
The contract covers the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of over 400km of new transmission lines and three substations, delivered on a turnkey basis.
Applications must cover the transmission lines, substations and STATCOM as a single package. Contractors will need to follow the project’s Environmental and Social Monitoring and Management Plan, in line with the IFC Performance Standards.
