Chris Flavin appointed Interim CEO of Gridworks

Chris Flavin has been appointed Interim CEO of Gridworks following the departure of former CEO, Erik Knive on May 2. Confirming the change in leadership, Gridworks’ Chairman Patrick Crawford said:

Erik Knive has decided to leave the company for personal reasons and return to Norway. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him the very best for the future.

“Chris Flavin has been appointed as Interim CEO, while the Board of Gridworks works to appoint a permanent successor.” 

Chris Flavin was previously Gridworks’ Head of Business Development, having joined the business when it was founded in 2019. With a career spanning Africa, Asia, and Europe, Chris has extensive experience in international project development, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure finance.  He began his career as a private practice lawyer advising a wide range of institutional investors before joining Gridworks’ parent company, British International Investment, in 2014.  He was involved in the strategy which led to Gridworks’ formation in 2019 and has served on Gridworks’ senior management team since, leading its project development and investment activities.   He heads the executive team at Gridworks and sits on the Boards of several of its portfolio companies including Amari Power Transmission, Anzana Electric Group and Sustainable Power Solutions.
